This was made for applications such as Final Cut Studio, Logic Studio, Maya, Photoshop and the whole Adobe Suite, ProTools, and many other highly demanding programs. It has dual processing with true 64-bit archetecture, that can natively run 32-bit applications (eliminates the need for a performance hindering emulator).

The new infrastructure compared to the old G4 has improved the G5's performance greatly. It is obviously faster than previous Power Macs, but with Dual Processing, it really shines. It's bluetooth and WiFi ready, all it takes is the optional accessory. The design of the case is functional, sleek, and sturdy. The minimalist brushed aluminum not only dissipates heat more efficiently, but makes this an industrial grade machine that can take a beating. The surprisingly-virtually-noiseless 9 internal fans keep the inside cool, so you don't have to worry about overheating.

These machines run extremely quiet and are super reliable. We implement the G5 towers as servers in our Mac network, we have so much faith in these. We love the upgrade to aluminum from the old G4 plastic as well, it looks better; but more importantly it is much more functional.
